Govenor Rick Perry’s Message to 2010 State Finals Football Teams
The Governor of the Great State of Texas, Rick Perry, sent a word of encouragement on Friday to both the Lake Travis Cavaliers and the Denton Ryan Raiders in preparation for their State Championship Game preparation.
The message, on official Texas Governor’s Office parchment and with the Govenor’s seal and signature, was hand-delivered to LakeTravis.org owner Jennifer Ellis on Friday at his office and will be sent on the Charter Bus Saturday morning to be delivered to both teams and coaches before the game.
Governor Perry and his wife Anita sent the following message to the teams:
“Congratulations on advancing to the Class 4A Division I state football championship game! You have made it this far thanks to your dedication, discipline, and hard work. Your parents, coaches, and all who encouraged your progress share in your success.
This is a great honor for you and your community. You will remember this game for the rest of your lives, so leave it all on the field. Good luck!
First Lady Anita Perry joins me in sending best wishes.
In testimony whereof, I have signed my name and caused the Seal of the State of Texas to be affixed at the City of Austin this 16th day of December, 2010
